I devoted this whole week to making a DIY bedroom for the Jester. I used ideas and references I found on Pinterest. Here are the results and all stages of creation.
Reflection:
I have designed this bedroom for Jester's shooting. The floor was fully built from matchsticks. It looks realistic and adds an interesting detail to my miniature. Although the material is easy to use, the process was painstaking and time-consuming. What is important to mention, I did not make a carcass of the room by myself and just used an old box from something, so that has greatly facilitated my work. For the wallpapers, I chose two samples: the first one was dark and contrasting, whereas the second one was calm and not turned-up eye. Therefore, I stopped on the second variant. It turned out extremely retro and rustic. As well I added small detail, which is a round window with cute curtains. For the window frame, I used the same matchsticks I used for the floor. These details and bedspread brought cosiness to the room. I created bad out of ware and used a glue gun to fix everything ( surprisingly, it was extremely hard, the ware is a strong material, which holds the shape, but it is not as flexible as I thought, because it was thick), but when I made bed linen, using only white colours, the room felt empty, so decided to add more colours and found this bright fabric for a bed cover. It helped, but still, the room does not feel 'alive'. However, I have got another detail such as a small carpet and stool, the bedroom is lacking more decoration.
