PHOTOGRAPHY EXPERIEMENTS:
That task was quite useful. Despite practising our photographing skills, we had to look at a new angle in our familiar environment. I thought I know every corner of my room, but this experiment opened my eyes to forms and incident light I have never noticed.
This one I find the coolest of all photos. The shot is unusual. First, you see it, you do not understand what it is. The forms framed by the light and shade perfectly are fascinating and hypnotising. The black border that comes from the lampshade also emphasises the character and pattern.
Photographs are full of details. From my point of view, as much as it could be objective, they convey the character of the tenant. I cannot say that they are technically well made. The area is not big so I had to challenge myself and try to find interesting compositions.
Some keywords I would like to use: morning light, creative process, details, cosiness.
I could improve them using another editor program or even a professional camera. Also, I would like to work on more complicated compositions and ideas.
The concept:
I find it symbolic to take photos of my room before leaving my home country. A new period of my life has been started. I wanted to capture my space to remember who I was. Next week I will be in the UK. I will live on campus, I will be changing, I will be growing. Definitely, I will be another person after university. For this reason, I did that project to remind myself one day of who I was and how I have become my future self.
